Here at Tamil Orphans Trust, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 1986, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts.
OUR MISSION
Furthering our cause is the most important goal of our organization. We seek to support, empower, and provide high quality resources to our community in a safe and secure environment. We are here for the relief of poverty and the resettlement and the rehabilitation of Tamil children orphaned as a result of the civil disturbances in Sri Lanka.
EDUCATION
At the Tamil Orphans Trust we believe that empowering our children with education training and skills is the foundation to a life filled with opportunity. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. The advancement of education, training and skills is at the core of our mission.
MEDICINE
We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Medical assistance is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
SHELTER
The most basic need for every child is a right to a caring home we continually contribute to homes the construction of and the purchase of land to ensure that our belief reaches as many children as possible.
POVERTY RELIEF
For many people living hand to mouth is a daily struggle, when called upon we work with local organizations to support the most destitute in society and make that struggle easier where possible.
